Rosella Mollo was a rare and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She passed away in Naples, Florida after a brief illness, on 5 March 2021 at the age of 95.

Rosella was born to Giuseppe & Genoveffa Battaglini on 11 June 1925 in Bolsena, Italy. She emigrated to the United States with her Husband John (Giovanni Battista) and 3 sons in1966 and joyfully welcomed her 4th son in America. Rosella worked as a clothing designer and seamstress for nearly fifty years, sharing her tremendous creativity and talents with clients who often became friends.

She found great happiness in the simplest pleasures in life, growing beautiful plants, creating a loving and nurturing home, and cooking delicious meals with what appeared to be magic. In her later years, she spent may happy hours walking along South Beach in Marco Island, knitting for charitable causes, chatting with friends at the pool, and relishing her endless winning-streak at Bingo. Rosella was truly a friend to all, gifting each person with her sparkling smile and contagious cheer. Her deepest pride and joy was found in her large and loving family who will continue to honor their Mamma, Nonna, Bisnonna and Zia by living their lives with her spirit of joy, excitement and love.

Rosella was predeceased by her husband, John, her parents, brother and sister. She is survived by her sons Guido, Lico, Roberto, & Steven, her loving Daughters-in-law Karen, Melanie, & Wendy, her 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, loved-ones and friends.

Burial will be private. Those wishing to honor Rosella’s memory are invited to donate in her name to a charity about which she was passionate: The St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, MT 59004 (give.stlabre.org) or to a charity of your own choice.
