There are many things I will miss about Dave- his funny jokes, his eternal optimism but most of all, I will miss the love that you could feel between him and Bee Dee- they were truely best friends, soulmates Only saving grace about Dave’s passing is that they are now together Thanks Dave for the memories, grateful to have shared some time with you Love to all who knew Dave and loved him

Our deepest sympathy to David’s family. Sadly, we didn’t know he was so ill. We’re sure he battled until the end, and pray he will Rest In Peace. We met him while living in Pelican Marsh, and later realized he was married to our grandson’s nursery school teacher. What a great couple! Always a delight. Hopefully they will be rejoined in heaven.

David was a smart very funny guy. Despite his medical problems in his final years, he always seem to have a smile and a pleasant word for others. He was always very competitive on the tennis court, and he brought that same determined attitude to his fight with cancer. He was in many ways a very special guy, and he will be missed within the Pelican Marsh community.

Joel and I are so saddened by the passing of Dave. We only just got to know him and BeeDee the last few years but enjoyed our friendship. Loved going out for sushi, competing in trivia, discussing politics, and truly enjoyed his keen sense of humor and performances at Open Mic night. He was a great competitor (whether at tennis, pickleball or trivia) but also was so compassionate especially regarding his tutoring/mentoring. A man of many talents, passions, and strength. I was so impressed that even after his recent treatments, he was back on the tennis court this winter when he could. A real fighter! He will be sorely missed by all, including for those of us at Pelican Marsh. Yet he is now with BeeDee and at peace and no longer in pain. Our sincerest and deepest condolences to his family.

I am terribly sorry for your loss. The first time I met David was here in Louisville when he was attending a wedding with Bee Dee (my ex-wife). She & I had stayed wonderful friends. I asked David to please take good care of her and thankfully, he certainly did so all these years. David was kind enough to call me the morning after Bee Dee passed away and I’m glad we had that kind of friendship as well. My sincere condolences and may your fond memories bring peace & comfort.

Your Dad was a funny guy. Always cracking jokes at Pelican Marsh talent night and the tennis courts. He will always have a special place in mine and my husband Rays heart because he was our realtor in Naples and he introduced us to Pelican Marsh where we live and love today. We are so saddened to hear both David and Dee Dees passing. They were both wonderful people.

Dave was by far the most inspiring person I had ever met. No matter the battle: loss of a loved one or his own health, he always found the strength to be optimistic and smile. I learned a lot of things about life and thought a lot as well. Together we talked, laughed, and shared our experiences. Despite the large gap in both age and wisdom, it felt like we were equals and I am forever honored to have had such an amazing friend and mentor. I miss him, and will never forget the impact he had on me and many others.
